Working on detachments. Attachments are like a cute little bamboo plant you bring home in a pot! Soon it takes over your garden, threatens your house foundations and it is nearly impossible to get rid off. It grows fast, spreads fast, its hard to cut down and very difficult to uproot. Attachments are like creepers that overwhelm and destroy the tree/pillar whatever they cling too. I cannot remember my attachment to a single person that has benefitted them or me. If you love someone be detached from them. It is good for them and it is great for you!
Since mind is a little clingy and it needs something else to cling to… give it a Krishna or a Siva or a Hanuman or a Ganesha. That is sat-sanga or attachment to ‘good’ or ‘reality’!
From that we go to nis-sanga or detachment. and from that to nirmohatva and from that to nischalatatva.
So bhaja govindam! – Thus advises Sankaracharya who was good at this!
It means think about the only thing, attachment to which leads to detachment, ie think about sat – since satsanga leads to nissanga.
