I now have 2 or 3 sanskrit students and as I was creating a googlegroup for them I fell back to thinking about one of my favorite day dreams.
I will have a samskrita vidyalaya – a cultural studies institute of ancient indian culture.
One wing will deal with all branches of Indian Music and dance, both classical as well as folk, one branch with Vedic and Upanishadic studies, one with Itihasas and Puranas, another with cross-cultural studies and one more with all poetry, drama and other sanskrit literature. One more shall deal with all Indian languages ancient and modern.., A branch to deal with logic and another to deal with astronomy and astrology…
Like this and all that. This will be a true Saraswathi Nilaya…, where she will be delighted and bless all who walk among the portals. And I will sit and gaze upon her while listening to all these wonderful sounds..
