English Education and Superstition

The Christian Missionaries of the previous millenium were very clear that English Education would open us to Christianity and that it would take us away from Superstition.

Has English Education and Christianity taken the Americans away from Superstition? This survey says it hasn’t. http://www.forbes.com/2009/03/06/superstitious-ufo-alien-conspiracy-opinions-columnists-superstition.html

Has English Education taken Indians away from superstitions or just added their superstitions to ours? Or maybe replaced some of our superstitions with theirs?

Humans, even the english, the rich, the powerful and the scientific are superstitious for a reason that is more fundamental than religion and perhaps not connected to it.

The 18th-century philosopher, Voltaire, wrote this about superstition: “A Frenchman traveling in Italy finds almost everything superstitious, and is hardly wrong. The archbishop of Canterbury claims that the archbishop of Paris is superstitious; the Presbyterians levy the same reproach against his Grace of Canterbury, and are in their turn called superstitious by the Quakers, who are the most superstitious of men in the eyes of other Christians.”

“Your belief is faith but his belief is Superstition!”

The last witch burned in England, by the Church, was in 1730.  In 1770 Christian missionaries were crying themselves hoarse over the “dreadful practice” Sati Sahagamanam.

Please Note: I am against both forms of murder, in fact I am against all forms of murder. It is the moral high tone of the Euro-white/christians who describe other cultures as barbaric that I am against.
