I have washed the clothes and it is 11 am, I stiil have the dishes to do, and the kitchen and the rest of the house to clean. I ususally start off earlier with the house work when I don’t cook any breakfast.
I was thinking about how to console someone who has just realised that the world does not owe us a living or owe us happiness or even understanding. In fact, we are blessed even if we are left alone. It is for us to make ourselves happy or comfortable.
I guess this realisation is like a second birth, a second emergence from the secure womb of parental care into the world outside.
In today’s economy, experienced people with technical skills are being laid off. Private companies are not hiring. What will the young people do? Some will spend more time in school, some will spend more time job-hunting and some may take to the streets.
A slower economy means less global warming, but how will people eat?
