Countering the depressing effects of virtue.

As a normal person living a saintly life, and doing good and noble things that I have been taught and constrained to do by society., I become very worn out and depressed from time to time and the more virtuous I have been, the sadder I become. I was at an ebb recently.

So yesterday evening, I visited an interesting neighbour, borrowed a Perry Mason, took a bus to Sanjaynagar Coffee Day, had a chocolate donut, bought my self some dark forest coffee powder and a coffee mug that I have been eyeing for a year and not buying as too costly (Rs 175 for a cup and a saucer).

I got a bus back immediately and at home my son brought me a coca cola.  I added Jaljeera to it and really enjoyed myself. Then we played scrabble.

I have connected with 2 more friends on linked in and 2 more students on face book. My meditation course on Virtual University is being run again, that always pleases me. That is the joy of the written internet word….

Ancient Indians has now had 11268 page views with about a 160 yesterday., that is pleasing too. I work SO HARD on that site, with less vacation than when I was at work in the software corporate!
