This is a special feature unique to my country shared by all faiths. Whenever they want to pray – housewarming, wedding, sunday morning, every morning, they blare off key, out of tune music at the top of high powered loudspeakers. In their desire to be heard by God, they drive peace loving folks like me out of my mind. Right now, the building behind is inaugurating itself at a decibel level that is bringing the choicest of curses out of me. Even if they get God’s blessings, which I doubt, because I am sure God loves silent devotion or at least melody and beauty – they certainly have their neighbours curses. Also they will throw a huge pile of their celebration garbage in the empty site and not bother to dispose of it properly. They are too poor to hire a bloke for garbage clearance, though they can hire a caterer and have 100s of people waste food.
If I sound annoyed, it is because I am. What a racket!. My people do not believe in one God but they all believe in the same Almighty Loudspeakers.
I love the silence and simplicity of Sahaj Marg Prayers and Weddings and Housewarmings.

They probably think God is deaf ! Perhaps God did become deaf after years of unrelenting loudspeaker devotion
